Maria Thayer as Abbey Logan
PAPER Magazine named Maria one of the eight women in comedy that are going to take over the world. She will be in this year's Fox Searchlight film Table 19 and star in the horror comedy Night of The Living Deb. Her other film credits include State of Play, Steve Pink's Accepted, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Todd Solondz's Storytelling and the independent Let Go. Maria received her television break in Strangers With Candy. She has gone on to star in Adult Swim series. Her other television work includes roles in Review, Portlandia, Married, Difficult People, Man Seeking Woman, The League, Kroll Show, New Girl, Maron, the return of Arrested Development on Netflix and Gotham. The versatile actress starred in Shakespeare in the Park for Alex Timber's musical adaption of Love's Labour Lost. Thayer is a graduate of The Juilliard School.
Abbey has tried many careers, but is currently working as Smoot High's librarian while in-between "opportunities." She wasn't popular in high school, but doesn't consider herself "damaged," and believes her past has nothing to do with her recent divorce or her crippling sugar addiction.
