The Judge with No Pants
In 2005, Judge Roy Pearson of Washington D.C. sued the owners of a local dry cleaning store for $54 million after they allegedly lost his pants. He argued that the store hung a sign that read "satisfaction guaranteed" and no reasonable person would consider losing your pants satisfactory service. The case was decided in favor of the defendants, who claimed they had returned Pearson's pants.
