On July 21, 2009, porn star Ken Hoyt, with such credits as Sexcetera and Big Gulp to his name, was arrested in Los Angeles for allegedly stalking and harassing two teenage girls. Hoyt had been registered as a level 3 sex offender in California in 1986 after being convicted of having sex with a 13-year-old, and had been arrested five times in New York for flashing women on the subway — although those charges were dropped after the District Attorney's Office failed to press charges in a timely fashion. He was registered as a sex offender in New York for his California conviction, but failed to register again when he moved back to California. L.A. Police charged him with stalking and failing to register as a sex offender. He remained in the L.A. County jail overnight while the $370,000 bail was arranged. It is expected that California prosecutors will act promptly.
