Haunting Letters
During the 1970s, the BTK killer taunted police by sending rambling letters to local media boasting about his murders. He stopped communicating in 1979 and remained silent for more than two decades. Then, in March 2004, the Wichita Eagle & Beacon received a letter containing the driver's license of a woman killed in 1986, as well as photos of her corpse, from someone named Bill Thomas Killman —or "BTK."
