NOTORIOUS MURDERS > DEATH IN THE FAMILY

Two in a Million

Denial

Several questions into that second interview, one of the detectives asked Dana if he knew of anyone, "other than the obvious person—yourself—who would gain by their death?"

Dana answered quite casually, as if the detective was asking the color of his car. He said that it was perhaps his father's business partner, who was going to become, Dana claimed, president of his dad's company now that his dad was dead.

"Did you have anything to do with your parents' death?" one of the detectives asked after a few more questions.

Nonchalantly. Like the weather. "No."

Odd.

Here was a kid being accused of capping his entire family and yet he wasn't upset in the least by the allegation. Nor did he start ranting and raving, accusing the cops of pointing a finger.

Find the real killer ... forget about me.

Instead, he just brushed it off as if it were just another routine question.
