Staring Down the Barrel

The C.I.A. side to Glee, as the Fresno County Sheriff's Department began to sift through her past, worried investigators. Glee had been in the C.I.A. for a brief period. Still, whenever you have a government official—former or current—murdered, one has to suspect that there is a larger story working in the background somewhere, especially when you have what appears to be an execution-style set of murders.

Three bodies shot at pointblank range. Dale and Tiffany, investigators believed, probably didn't know what was coming and were taken out by initial rounds to the back of their heads.

But Glee ... Glee Ewell's murder was different.

Glee knew she was being shot. She saw her killer (or killers).

Which could only mean one thing: there was a personal connection. The Ewells' killer possibly wanted Glee to know she was being murdered.
