An investigation and a trial: The murder of Robert Wone
A wife's grief

Katherine Wone's parents and brother immigrated from Korea in 1971, a few years before she was born. Her father worked in a dental lab; her mother was a nurse. She attended the University of Illinois, then studied law at St. Louis University. She met her future husband when she called to invite him to be part of an American Bar Association panel in Chicago. Just a few weeks after that conference, she flew to Washington to spend Valentine's Day with him.

Katherine Wone was crushed. She couldn't face dealing with bills, and she could barely get out of bed. She saw a grief counselor and was eventually able to get back to work, returning part-time to the American Health Lawyers Association. She had the support of Wone's family, friends and colleagues while she tried to cope with her loss.
Some of them suspected that Price, Ward and Zaborsky were hiding something.
