Colton Harris-Moore, Tale of a Teenage Outlaw
After being found guilty of possession of stolen property when he was 12 years old, he was sentenced to 11 days confinement, 16 hours of community service and six months of community supervision.
After vandalizing several buildings and a school in Snohomish County, he received 10 days detention, more community service and another six months of supervision.
For committing assault, he received six months of community supervision and was ordered to pay $100 restitution. He was still 12 years old.
By the time he was 15 years old, however, his alleged crimes had escalated in sophistication and seriousness, and police were having a hard time holding on to their suspect. In one case, it took a clever approach for cops to nab Harris-Moore.
