Time Line: Oct. 1 to Oct. 12

Oct. 2 — A benefit concert for Taylor was held at Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA. Money raised was added to the reward fund.

Oct. 4 — Skateboarding acquaintance of Taylor's tells Crime Library that Taylor told him the night she disappeared, "I'm going to do something highly illegal — an early birthday present." Taylor's birthday is Oct. 13.

Oct. 5 — Tip from former girlfriend of Ben Fawley's leads task force to isolated Mathews County farm where a decomposed body is found. Grand jury convenes in Richmond to assist in the gathering of information in the Taylor Behl case.

Oct. 6 — The skeletal remains are identified as Taylor's. Cause of death may take quite some time to determine. Richmond Police Chief Monroe says the investigation has become very focused.

Oct. 7 — Police Chief Monroe says it is "not incorrect" to consider Ben Fawley a suspect in Taylor's death.

Oct. 11 — Reports in the press that Ben Fawley's credit card shows gas station transactions in New Kent County between Richmond and Mathews County where Taylor's remains were found.

Oct. 12 — Preliminary autospy reports are inconclusive on Taylor's cause of death. Additional tests required.
