The Pennsylvania Supreme Court must decide by midnight tonight whether to execute Terry Williams, a man who has been on death row since 1986, when he was convicted for beating a 56-year-old man to death with a tire iron. His victim, Amos Norwood, had allegedly sexually abused Williams since he was a minor.
Friday a Philadelphia judge halted the scheduled execution of Terrance Williams based on evidence that prosecutors in his 1986 murder trial suppressed information that the victim, Amos Norwood, was Williams’ sexual abuser for over a decade.
