Polly was born January 1, 1981, and abducted from her bedroom, at the age of 12, during an October 1, 1993, slumber party by Richard Allen Davis, with promises that he would not hurt her. He raped and murdered her. This infamous case inspired hundreds of people, most prominently her father Marc Klaas, to work on behalf of America’s children.
