Brandi Ellen Wells was last seen on August 2, 2006, as she prepared to go out to a club. On arrival she was out of money and nearly out of gas. Though she asked several patrons for assistance, Brandi left the club alone around midnight. Her car and personal items were found days later, but she was never seen again. The mystery of her disappearance is still unsolved.
Yesterday, Star City Police Chief Vic Propst today that his department is now working with the Carolina Beach, N.C., police department after a possible sighting of Skylar in that area. There have been no new sightings since then, and the search for the missing girl, last seen one week ago, continues.
Star City, W.V., police are searching for Skylar Neese, 16, who was last seen Friday. She is described as about 5’4″ or 5’5″ tall and around 130 to 140 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. In the two days before she was last seen, Skylar posted some tweets in which she sounded upset.
Missing Mason City, Iowa, teen Garret Joyner has been found in Utah, where he was pulled over by State Police after a short chase. Prior to being apprehended, Joyner, 14, was last seen in Hartley, Iowa, on Tuesday evening, where he drove off without paying for gas. Also found safe was 13-year-old Tennessee girl Joanna Cheyenne Starr Belcher, suspected of leaving home with a 19-year-old man.
Police have charged tribal member Anthony M. Bennett, 20, with assaulting Carnel Chamberlain, 4, the Michigan boy who went missing June 21. Chamberlain’s badly burned body was found on June 28 under the porch at his home on the reservation of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.
There are no leads as of yet in the death of 6-year-old Sierra Lynn Newbold, whose body was discovered Tuesday morning in a West Jordan, Utah, canal. She was found a half hour after being reported missing.
Melanie Meri Davy was found safe Thursday in Lake Elmo, Minn., after a witnesses recognized Melanie and her father at a restaurant and called police. Her father. a twice convicted sex offender, was arrested.
Pierce Crowley, who had been missing since Friday, was found shortly after midnight this morning in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan.
May 25 is National Missing Children’s Day, in memory of Etan Patz’s birthday. Patz was abducted in 1979, and was the first missing child whose photo was circulated on a milk carton. The disappearance of Etan Patz, 6, which may now be solved, became one of the most famous missing child cases of the 20th century.
