On February 7, 1936, most of the remains of Florence Polillo were found behind a vacant house. Days earlier police had found most of the rest of her. Her head was never found. Despite the involvement of Eliot Ness the case of the Cleveland Torso Murderer, aka the Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run, remains unsolved.
