Bureau of Prisons intern Chandra Levy disappeared on May 1, 2001. Her affair with married U.S. Representative Gary Condit soon put the case in the national spotlight, but did nothing to help investigators find her body or her killer. It would be another eight years before D.C.’s finest would crack the controversial case of the missing intern.
