On August 7, 2000, Amy Blom took the stand to testify for the defense in the trial of her husband, Donald Blom. Blom, a convicted sex offender with a history of kidnappings and sexual assaults, was accused of murdering 19-year-old Katie Poirier. Serving a life sentence for the murder, he is suspected of being a serial killer.
