Adventurous retirees Thomas and Jackie Hawkes had lived on their yacht, the Well Deserved for three years, finally deciding to sell it to be closer to their grandchild. Through an ad in a boating magazine, the couple met former child star Skylar Deleon and his wife Jennifer. Along with two of Deleon’s accomplices, they embarked on a sailing trip just before Thanksgiving. That trip would be their last.
