Cassidy was freed from prison in Wyoming on January 19, 1896, and began gathering a new gang of outlaws that would be called The Wild Bunch, headed by butch and his right-hand man Elza Lay, the group would soon be joined by non-other than Cassidy’s notorious partner in crime Harry Longabaugh, aka the Sundance Kid.
