VIDEO: Busted Bohemian Rhapsodist

Robert Wilkinson

Robert Wilkinson

Canadian Robert Wilkinson, 30, the arrested man who belted out an a cappella version of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody for the police-cruiser cam on the way to jail, has been convicted and sentenced. Wilkinson was busted in November 2011 for impaired driving, and after engaging some pleasant banter with police about how he wasn’t drunk, for example, “You’re actually an ignorant f***ing c**t. So f*** you buddy,” he launched into a six minute version of the operatic rock classic.

Wilkinson, who has been acting as his own attorney, obtained a copy of the video as evidence, and uploaded it to Youtube, where it went viral. He was fined $1400 and had his license suspended for a year.

For those of you that missed it the first time, here’s the clip.
