In a stunning case of possible animal abuse in New York, it seems that a garbage bag full of pit-bull mix puppies was set on fire and abandoned after midnight on March 2, 2013. The bag containing the remains of five dogs was found in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn on 91st Street near Ditmas Avenue.
A surveillance camera in the area showed several men emerging from a van, dumping a garbage bag and setting it on fire. Horrifyingly enough, detectives have not ruled out the possibility that the puppies were still alive when the men set fire to the bag. Police are investigating.
