Prosecutors to Seek Death Penalty for Neighbor Accused of Raping, Killing 6-Year-Old Girl

Little Rock, Ark., prosecutor Van Stone announced Monday that his office will be seeking the death penalty against Zachary Holly, 28, accused of the rape and murder of his 6-year-old neighbor, Jersey Bridgeman. The little girl was found dead on November 20, 2012, in an abandoned house near her home in Bentonville, Ark. Holly was arrested several days later.

In court Monday, Holly pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, murder, kidnapping and residential burglary. He will appear in court again on February 28 for a status hearing.
