In what is being called another zombie-like attack, police were called to the scene of a disturbance in Waco, Texas, on June 14, in which a man was reportedly ”going crazy.” Michael Terron Daniel, 22, allegedly began by assaulting the people in his home. When police arrived, he told them that he was high on K-2, and that it was killing him. Then, according to Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton, Daniel ran outside and, got down “on his hands and knees and chased a neighbor while barking and growling like a dog.” Swanton continued saying that next, Daniel grabbed a medium-sized black dog and dragged the terrified animal to a porch where he beat it, choked it and “began to bite into the dog, ripping pieces of flesh away,” while it was still alive. Sadly, the dog didn’t make it.
After the attack was over, Daniel sat unresponsive, with the dead dog in his lap, covered in its blood and fur. Then he reportedly asked officers to taser him or fight him to end his bad trip. The officers did not comply. Daniel was arrested for cruelty to a non-livestock animal, but, because of his mental state, was taken to a hospital rather than a lockup. He was rearrested and taken into police custody without incident at his job the following Monday.
