Johnny Sharp is a freelance journalist specializing in Music, Sports and crime writing. After gaining an honors degree in philosophy and politics from Warwick University he was staff writer for the New Musical Express from 1992-2000 before leaving to go freelance. He is currently a regular contributor to The Guardian newspaper and also writes for Maxim, Mojo, Q, Bizarre, Four Four Two and Record Collector. He is currently writing his first novel and researching a non-fiction book on the history of the British music press. He lives in London
