You know what the record for most tornadoes in Alabama is? 62. That might not sound like THAT much, until we tell you that's the record for ONE DAY. That's right, on April 27, 2011, 62 tornadoes were tracked across the state of Alabama, 12 of them with winds estimated at 150 MPH or more, making Alabama one of the most dangerous places in the country for deadly tornadoes.
