Dumbest Moments of the 2010-2011 NFL season
Texans live and die on a prayer
Dumb moment: The score is tied. The seconds click down on the clock. Suddenly, Jacksonville throws a desperate bomb which misfires, but the Houston defense is strangely eager to help the ball find a reciever. It's not been a good year for football fans in the Lone Star State.
What happened: Troubled teams Jacksonville and Houston were tied in the final seconds of the fourth quarter when Jacksonville QB David Gerrard heaved a Hail Mary pass into the end zone. All was seemingly lost when the ball was swatted down by Houston cornerback Glover Quin, but he swatted it into the waiting arms of Jacksonville wide receiver Mike Thomas. The Jaguars score with no time on the clock, making it 31-24 and handing the Texans their third straight loss.
