2011: Tony La Russa's Excuses, Excuses, Excuses

The Cardinals beat the Rangers in last year's World Series, but it almost didn't happen, thanks to Tony La Russa. In Game 5, he legendary Cardinals manager tried to get in touch with his bullpen using an ancient method of communication -- the landline telephone -- but it apparently failed to save his team from losing 4-2. At the postgame presser, La Russa complained that the hometown fans made so much noise, the bullpen coach misunderstood his commands and warmed up the wrong relief pitchers. Really, Tony? Blame your own fans because you don't know how to text?
