Bigger Disasters Than the New York Mets
The Titanic
When the great ship Titanic struck an iceberg in April 1912, countless men women and children lost their lives. As if that wasn't bad enough, 100 years later, millions more wasted hours of their lives sitting through James Cameron's sappy depiction of the doomed voyage. And it's coming out again this year in 3D? Will horrors never cease? All told, the sinking of the great ship and the grievous loss of life that came with it makes the fact that Johann Santana, the Mets best pitcher, played in exactly zero games last year seem almost completely trivial.
