Why it's dumb: A feel-good hippie class on body image is not going to undo 18+ years of internalized expectations based on a constant exposure to celebrity and/or Western consumer culture. The dominant patriarchal values will never be subverted by your sudden desire to cut off your hair and/or get a neck tattoo.
What it should prepare you for and does not: How to explain to the shallow sales girl at the mall that you shouldn't have to buy the pair of jeans you just tried on, even if you popped a button and ripped a seam, as fashion sizes just another way the Man keeps us down.
Possible career paths: Token liberal punching bag on Fox News, trustafarian clothing designer, editor for Skin and Ink Magazine, blogger.
