Q1. Why is truTV updating its Privacy Policy?
A1. At truTV, we recognize that privacy is important. We always want you to know what information we collect at our site, how it will be used, and the types of third parties with whom we may share personally identifiable information, so that you can make informed decisions about information that pertains to you. In addition, consistent with changing our name and adding new content, we are continuously looking for ways to improve your experience with us. As our offerings continue to grow, we may update our privacy policy to reflect our revised privacy practices.
Q2. What are the important updates truTV has made?
A2. There are several important disclosures, updates and clarifications to the privacy policy:
- • We have clarified that truTV.com is part of the Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. network of Web sites (the "Turner Network").
- • We have clarified our information-sharing practices. In an effort to enhance the content and offerings at our site, we may share information with selected third parties to enable you to learn of additional promotional opportunities we believe will be of interest to you. We will provide you with an opportunity to opt out or block such uses either at the point of submission of your personally identifiable information or prior to any such disclosure.

Q3. If I previously registered under the Court TV policy, what must I do to "opt out" of or decline the updated policy?
A3. You can decline the updated privacy policy, but if you do, you will no longer be able to participate in the interactive activities available through our site that include collection of personally identifiable information. For example, you would not be able to register an account or post a message yourself, although you would still be able to view our site and message boards. If you wish to decline the updated privacy policy, then do nothing and we will delete your name and personally identifiable information from our database. Your membership will be updated, and your information treated in accordance with the updated privacy policy, only if you click the registration link to re-register and confirm your status as a registered subscriber with truTV.com.
Please note that users who register at our site after the effective date of the updated policy will automatically be covered under the new policy.
Q4. What choices do I have regarding how my information is used?
A4. If, at any time, you decide that you do not wish to continue to receive marketing or promotional communications from us, simply let us know by following the "opt out" or "unsubscribe" instructions on any newsletter or promotional message or as provided on the site.
