The 1995 Chargers

The 1995 San Diego Chargers were cursed. Eight players from that Super Bowl team have since died, several in shocking ways. While three succumbed to heart disease, a fourth died in a car accident, another in an airplane crash, one from a drug overdose, one from a lightning strike, and one by suicide. By one scientist's calculation, the odds of eight relatively young players from a single team of 53 dying so early are less than one percent.
