The 2012 Kings-Coyotes Playoffs
Sometimes what may seem like just a bad call could actually be a deliberate attempt to fix a game. Or so it might seem to some. In the heated 2012 playoffs (between the Phoenix Coyotes and the Los Angeles Kings), the Kings scored the winning goal in overtime. But just before the goal, Dustin Brown of the Kings hit Michal Rozsival of the Coyotes and wasn't given a penalty. Two Coyotes players publicly blamed the refs for looking the other way or over-penalizing the Coyotes, but the LA Times and other sources called this unfair.
