The students of MIT make it a point to try and outdo their predecessors with annual MIT pranks. One involved placing a blue telephone booth atop the school, a la the British TV series Doctor Who. Another involved the elaborate creation of a room in which everyone was glued upside down on the ceiling — from desks to plants to an in-progress game of billiards. We can't pick a favorite, but the 2006 goof involving a fire truck being placed atop the school's famed dome may be hard to ever top.
