Tecumseh
Almost every single President elected in a year ending in a zero has met an unfortunate fate: Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, and Kennedy were all assassinated. Warren Harding suffered a stroke and died, and FDR died from a brain hemorrhage while in office. Reagan (who narrowly survived an assassination attempt in 1981) and George W. Bush broke Tecumseh's Curse, which comes from President Harrison, who was elected in 1840 largely due to his victory at Tippecanoe, where the U.S. triumphed over the Native Americans and their leader, Tecumseh. Harrison delivered his victory speech during a rainstorm, caught a cold and subsequently died, serving only one month as President.
