Temple of Kukulkan
At the center of the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza is the Temple of Kukulkan, also known as El Castillo (the Castle). It is arguably the most famous temple constructed by the ancient Mayans. The Mayan empire dominated Central America from approximately 800 B.C. to 900 A.D.
