Kraken: Carrot Top

Once called a "floating island" by Norwegian historians, the menacing Kraken has been described as an enormous octopus or squid. Because squid are more aggressive, it seems the most likely match for a creature famous for attacking ancient tall ships in the waters of Norway and Iceland. For decades, even the giant squid was considered no more than a myth. Motion sensor cameras put the mystery to rest in 2004 when they captured digital images of a specimen more than 26 feet long. Could it have been the Kraken of legend?
