Dybbuk

A Hebrew term, a dybbuk is wandering soul looking for a living host. A dybbuk will search out a human who has lost touch with his soul, either through trauma or melancholy, then enter the human host and control his actions until the dybbuk's work on earth is complete. In 2001, Kevin Mannis bought a small decorative box at an estate sale. The seller told him that the box had belonged to his Jewish grandmother who had brought it to the U.S. after WWII.
