The Holy Grail

Next to the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail is well the Holy Grail of religious relics. Long sought after by religious crusaders and Indiana Jones, the Holy Grail lies at the center of many religious conspiracies. Chrétien de Troyes in the 12th century and Robert de Boron in the 13th spread rumors that the cup Jesus used during the Last Supper was not only extant, but also possessed the ability to save the life of anyone who drank it, even the terminally ill. These stories started a spate of so-far fruitless quests to find this magical object.
