U.K. Alien Invasion

In 1965, an elderly man in the UK contacted the police to report an alien invasion. He'd seen strange humanoid figures in spacesuits climbing down a ladder from an invisible UFO that was — presumably — hidden by a cloaking device. Upon investigation it transpired that a Special Forces exercise had been underway and elite soldiers in protective gear had rappelled down from a helicopter which had been hidden by fog.
