George Adamski became an international celebrity in the early Fifties when he claimed multiple encounters with tall, blond aliens from Venus who gave him a ride in their spaceship. For some reason, his photos and films convinced many people that Adamski — who ran a hamburger stall — had indeed been selected to make First Contact.
