Fracking: The Next Big Scam In America
Its Waste Cannot Be Safely Disposed
A three-step process has been developed to take care of any resulting wastewater from fracking, one of which involves sending it to sewage plants to be converted into drinking water -- yep, your drinking water. But the EPA has discovered that fracking wastewater occasionally reaches plants that are not set up for its treatment and is discharged into nearby rivers. The New York Times reported: "State regulators and drillers show that the dangers to the environment and health are greater than previously understood," as radioactivity is "far higher than the level that federal regulators say is safe for these treatment plants to handle."
