Blacks in the Military
Although it wasn't until 1948 that President Harry S. Truman officially ended segregation in the military, black people have fought for the United States in every war we've ever had, including the Revolutionary War. Yet for unknown reasons, this has been kept out of the history books and most people are surprised to learn this fact.
