Arizona - The Elusive Thunderbird
The town of Tombstone was more than just a town of roughneck cowboys — it also had a prehistoric, flying creature. The Thunderbird is said to have been shot down in the Arizona desert by locals in 1890, although no definitive evidence (photographic or otherwise) has been uncovered.
