Some believe that the ionospheric testing could trigger or already has triggered massive natural disasters such as the flipping of the magnetic poles, trigger earthquakes or even turn the upper atmosphere in to a lens, essentially setting the sky on fire. These disasters have led to HAARP being referred to as "the Moby Dick" of conspiracy theories by writer Sharon Weinberger.
