If one has official access to the administrative controls of a computer system, making changes is even easier to do undetected. Because of this, electronic voting is distressing to many. Anonymous threatened to "peacefully shut down the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucuses," while Ron Paul's campaign scoffed at the possibility: "If a hacker gets in and messes it all up, we can reconstruct (the results)."
