The San Diego Natural History Museum's archives have been overrun with insects. Fortunately, they're not causing too much damage as most of them have been dead for a century. These zombie bugs don't need to be eradicated, they need to be cataloged. The museum received a quarter of a million dollars in federal money to take dusty insects out of crumbling packets and pin them to cork boards. Aren't there enough nerdy adolescents in San Diego willing to volunteer for this vital and fascinating work?
