The Pope Is The Anti-Christ

Some fundamentalist Christian groups in the US believe the Pope is the antichrist. The role of the antichrist in scripture is to lead people away from the true faith and destroy society. While, as of yet, there have been no horsemen of the apocalypse riding out of the Vatican, some Catholics do believe that Rome will be the seat of the antichrist during the end times.
