Nanny State Laws You Won't Believe Are Real
The UK: Child Diet Monitors
Dominic and Vanessa Ward received a letter from the British National Health Service letting them know that their five-year-old, Chloe, was dangerously overweight at 66 lbs. The Mirror reports that the letter informed Chloe's parents that because of her weight issues, their daughter could suffer from eating disorders later in life and that they would be receiving tips on how to better care for her. Mr. Ward told reporters: "I'm particularly angry at the idea she could suffer from eating disorders. She certainly will if she goes through life being told she is overweight when she is not."
