Did Palin fire a man because he refused to fire Palin's ex-brother-in-law? Walt Monegan accused Palin of having forced his resignation over his refusal to fire State Trooper Mike Wooten during Wooten's custody battle with Palin's sister. (If Wooten was unemployed during the divorce case, it could have given Palin's sister an advantage in court.)
