Chris Benoit is another wrestler whose tragic death ended his title shot just days before he was due to win it. For reasons that are still unknown, the 40-year-old killed his wife and son before hanging himself using an exercise machine. A top neurosurgeon examined the deceased ex-champ's brain and found it to be as damaged as that of "an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient."
