17. Valerie Plame

This former covert CIA operative famously had her cover blown by Washington Post columnist Robert Novak in 2006. As a result of the scandal, Vice President Dick Cheney's trusted aide Lewis "Scooter" Libby was convicted of charges that included obstruction of justice. In response to allegations that Plame offered sex in exchange for intelligence, the sexy spook wrote "there were many aspects of my job which were James Bond-like, but that, emphatically, was not one of them." Oh, well. There's always the movies.
