6) Bananas

Canaan Sodindo Banana was the first President of Zimbabwe but just as famous for passing a law forbidding citizens from making jokes about his name. That is, until the headline "Man raped by Banana" hit the newsstands. Right after President Mugabe, who had succeeded Banana, went on an anti-gay campaign, Jefta Dube, a former presidential bodyguard, shot a fellow policeman for referring to him as "Banana's wife." During the murder trial, it came to light that Banana had drugged and raped Dube.
